HI! I’m Charlene Hull, most people call me Char!
I am a Certified Nutrition Health Coach! I am also a Mom of two busy boys who keep me on my toes, I am a non-paid “taxi driver” for them and their friends! AND despite the fact that I am a Health Coach I actually do not love spending countless hours in the kitchen! I am passionate about eating and feeding our families SIMPLE, REAL food so we can all be at our best and have the energy we need to get through the day! I love, love LOVE working with others on their journey to do the same.
We all know we need to eat more fruits and veggies, but we don’t all know HOW to get there. HOW to calm the cravings from the “stuff” being pushed into our minds everywhere we turn! How do we escape the, oh so yummy beast? Lol! HOW do we do it without spending hours and hours in the kitchen every night! Ain’t nobody got time for that!
As your coach I’ve got your back in escaping “the beast”! I support and encourage you on this just eat REAL food journey and keep it simple along the way! I give you tips and tools to take back your life and your health so you can create balance in all areas of your life. As a result you will be able to kick sugar and processed stuff, feel better, calm cravings, reduce pain and inflammation, and even lose weight! I join you on YOUR journey, meet you where YOU are, and customize a plan that works for YOU and YOUR body!

I get creative in helping you reach your health and lifestyle goals. Everything we do together is customized JUST for YOU! Each meeting is interactive. Together we set attainable goals. Through personal phone calls, meetings, text messages, emails, health related articles and whatever else it takes, I keep you motivated to attain those goals!
There is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to health. We are all unique inside and out. What is nourishing for one could be harmful to another. When we work one on one we explore what it means to listen and tune in to YOUR unique body for cues of what is and isn’t nourishing YOU.
We live in a world where we are bombarded with quick fixes, processed, boxed and packaged man made ‘stuff’, chocked full of sugar, dyes, foreign chemicals and we are calling it food. It can get confusing and overwhelming! I am here to help you navigate through this crazy world of aisles upon aisles of ‘stuff’ and show you how to feed yourself and your family REAL food and keep it quite simple in the process!
My Keepin it REAL Story to Health and Passion
Through my journey I have learned that life is at it’s best when we keep it all REAL; our food, our story and our life. I’d like to share with you my, ‘Keepin’ It REAL’ story!
I want to help others because I have been there. I have been in the trenches, trying and hiding and suffering, and I know. It. Is. Tough! Eating REAL food and changing some habits changed my life! I am passionate to share with others what I have learned so they don’t have to go through it too! I am not perfect, and my own health is a continued journey as well, but I am here to tell you it IS attainable and sustainable!
Beginning in my late teens, through my 20s and 30s (YUP! I’m in 40s and proud! LOL) I suffered from inexplicable, chronic pain. With the exception of a few doctors, I kept this to myself. I carried on with life pretending to be well, happy- go lucky, and fun! No one knew. I was really good at not listening to and ignoring my body’s cues.
After 2 children I had more pain that could no longer be ignored, significant weight gain, insomnia, and now new issues to contend with.
Countless doctor visits, different diagnosis, medications, chiropractors, acupuncturists and massage therapy all helped in the moment, but didn’t sustain. I refused to give up believing that there must be a better way. My persistence led me to a doctor who reintroduced me to REAL food, and changed my life!
The better I ate, the better I felt, the more knowledge I craved! This is where my passion began. I spent years researching and reading about health online. Finally, I enrolled at Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I became a Certified Health Coach. Here I studied over 100 dietary theories under doctors and leaders in the health/nutrition world; Dr. Hyman, Andrea Beaman, David Wolfe, Dr. Oz, Dr. Joel Fuhrman, and Dr. John Douillard, just to name a few.
At the base of my passion and my truth is that REAL food equals REAL life! Health doesn’t have to be complicated. We CAN achieve health and happiness by keepin’ it REAL, in the kitchen and in life!

Some Fun Facts About Me
When I’m not reading, learning, food prepping or talking about health……
- I love hiking, camping and fresh air. The perfect setting for me is beach AND mountains.
- I have found a new love for Michigan in the U.P.
- I traveled out west in a motorhome with my family for 2 ½ weeks! My dream vacation!
- I don’t love being in the kitchen…so when I am I often crank up the tunes and try to make it fun
- Sometimes I dance…alone…just for fun…or I make my family dance with me! He he
- I used to be a 3rd Grade teacher. When I had my boys I made the tough, but exciting, decision to stay home with them.
- I am a “teacher” by nature. I have an undergrad degree from Central Michigan University in Ele. teaching with a major in Language Arts and a minor in Science! I have a masters degree from Madonna University in Reading Specialties, and a Health Coaching Certification from Institute for Integrative Nutrition!
